My vote would be the ATI 9500. I have a P4 2.2a here and have used both a 9500 and a 4200. There is no comparison, the 9500 wins hands down. The higher FSAA and AF setting you can run with the ATI card make all the difference in the world. One thing you might want to consider, if you don't really need the TV/DVI output you can get a 128MB 9500 for less than $150 (www.newegg.com) .Doug

Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. Klaatu barada nickto.

Your system is also good enough to make good use of the 9700Pro. You might want to look around for sales as you can find em' pretty cheap nowadays. Great card that'll last you for quite a while yet.
