Quick CX 2.0 texture question

Featured Replies

Hello all,I have a question regarding the textures for the CX 2.0, more specifically, the external windshield "glass" textures. I had purchased the CX 2.0 a little while back but had returned it due to an issue that ended up being no fault of the CX, because of this I am on the way to pick up the bird again. Oe of my favorite things to do in FSX is repaint, and one thing I noticed when I had the add-on previously was that my external glass textures had pretty much no texture to them whatsoever. Almost as if the glass was just about completely clear, and by almost completely clear, I mean no tinting, VERY slight shine, no specular highlights, no darkened strip across the top, etc...Upon perusing the ESDG screenshot forum, I noticed this thread: http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewtopic...?f=8&t=2148The last screenshot in the thread looks nothing like what my CX had windshield wise. Now, taking into account how old that thread is, I am guessing there was o 1.84 VC "Upgrade" or anything like that. Did the external textures of the CX 2.0 change with the lastest patch/upgrade, or do I have a wonky setting somewhere. I know I have aircraft reflections enabled adjust about all other settings maxed out. My specs are in my signature. I am using the latest Nvidia Drivers along with NHancer. NHancer is set up per Nick's "how-to guide".If somebody would be so kind, if you have the CX 2.0 along with the latest VC upgrade, would you kind as to take a screenshot from the front of the aircraft with the windshield in plain sight. The fact that my windows looked nothing like the ones in that screeshot are driving the repainter side of my brian nuts. lol *EDIT* I just repurchased, here is what I see from the front:esdgcx20fsx.jpgThansk for your time and help!

Sort of looks like a video driver or DX10 type issue but not sure from your pic.Folks do have different results w/cards/drivers/tweeks, etc. so can't answer more than that. :(

Yeah, it has me puzzled as well. I am running DX9, so it isn't a DX10 issue. I was wondering if REX installed a new Env_map file but I sure don't remember ever checking that box.I even tried altering the alpha channels and whatnot but the results pretty much stayed the same. I'm a little lost regarding this issue.Ron, what drivers are you using?

Done. Let's take this to our support forum or email rather than use Avsims bandwidth. :(
