May 14, 201016 yr Hello,I had FS Genesis Mesh installed on my old FSX computer. I have since purchased a new computer, re-installed FSX, and also installed some Megascenery X and Megascenery Earth photoscenery, as well as Sim Savvy Photoscenery. I mainly fly in the USA and was wondering if I will get better mesh if I re-install FS Genesis? I do have PNW (which I know has its own mesh) and UT Alaska (which also has its own mesh). For the rest of my scenery will FS Genesis Mesh give me a mesh improvement over my existing photoscenery? Besides PNW and UT Alaska, most of my other flying is in the photoscenery areas. Thanks,Mark

However, I'll admit that 5m mesh might be overkill if you normally fly at FL 250 but for us low and slow VFR'ers, the more detail the better. We know that FSG is 10m in the U.S.; I don't know what the other various packages provide but it is my understanding that FSX uses the highest resolution mesh that it has access to. I would definitely reinstall and then don't worry about it UNLESS you see some glitch; then you can troubleshoot if that occurs. With the ATAP project that Justin has to fix plateaus at airports everywhere, hopefully we'll see some cleaner airport environs as those packages become available.Top contributor for each state gets that state free... do your state and help out...Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
May 15, 201016 yr Thanks for the suggestion. It sounds like I have nothing to lose if I re-install FS Genesis Mesh so I will go ahead and do that.
