J41 Tutorial Problem

Featured Replies

Weird problem. I'm doing the tutorial, and one engine is running about 40 degrees cooler than the other. I've checked all settings, which seem identical. Checked anti-icing etc, and same for all engines. Any ideas? Also this thing is a frame rate killer, much worse than MD-11 or 747. Any hints? Thanks!Joe Legander I ?

I can't speak to the other question about the engine, but you can use the config manager to adjust the performance by choosing to use the Normal Resolution displays, either the Medium or Low Version of the external model, and perhaps the Medium or Low version of the VC Cockpit model. In my system I found that I save the most FPS by turn the EFIS Refresh rates on the right side EHSI and EADI down to 0, which basically turns them off completely, and I reduced the left side EHSI and EADI to 90%. Frankly the guages are still silky smooth and since I dont fly from the right side of the VC and its not in view durning most of the flight, having it turned on was not really needed. If your looking to shoot screen shots then just turn everything back up to full settings, but having them turned down, didn't make the a/c look bad at all, in fact aside from the passengers missing in the external models and the icing effects not there, theres not much difference. BTW, the rain effects still work when you turn off the icing effects.Hope this helps some,Sean Cambell
