Using ATC and AI traffic

Featured Replies

I thought I try to get accustomed flying with ATC guidance. Since I've only payed shortly with the FS built-in ATC, I have no experience in this area.At the moment, I have wonderful AI traffic (UT2) which generously disregards the existence of me being present at the airport too (e.g. taxiing is an adventure). I can only hope that this changes when I start to use ATC.Knowing that the built-in ATC is very limited, I thought of buying something like Radar Contact. What I lack now are opinions and comments from other simmers who are firm in using ATC, so I appreciate all suggestions.

I am using Radar Contact and I also use Ultimate Traffic 2. They work well together. Radar Contact is much better then the default FSX ATC. I don't have any experience with other ATC add-ons so I can't comment on anything else but I've been happy with RC.

Well, I don't have an add-on ATC package such as Radar Contact or others ... I use the default ATC. Whilst I understand that has its limitations, it works fine for me because I'm not necessarily after 100% complete realism in that area. It does the job quite adequately in my opinion, including with AI aircraft. Add AISmooth to help with aircraft separation and limiting the number of go arounds etc, and I've not had any problems. And it covers both VFR and IFR (I think some of the ATC add-ons only cover IFR).

Freddy
