Autobrake

Hello allUpon touch down, and autobrakes slowing the aircraft, should the 'BRAKES' message window appear on screen?Secondly when does the pilot start manual braking?Thank you.Alan Watson

The brakes message should show up unless you have disabled it via the FS9.cfg.The point at which the pilot takes over manual braking varies based on company procedures. I just do it once the landing roll is stabilized. (Deceleration good, reverses out, speedbrakes checked)

Hi Alan, exactly what he mentioned to the first question.Though to your second one, it does depend on company SOP, a lot of them will state that the pilot flying (PF) should return to manual braking around 80kts. Stephen
