May 25, 201016 yr Hi,All of a sudden I have started to get an error message when I try to install scenery into Fsx from within the programme - it reads as follows,"You do not have permission to install new files on this computer. Please have an administrator log on to complete the scenery installation."I have installed lots of scenery into FsX in the past and I have never before recieved this error message. I have admin. rights on my account (and just to be sure I checked) so I can see no reason why this problem should be occurring. What is even more strange, is that, following the error meassage, the scenery is intalled anyway though irritatingly when I resart FsX the error message pops up and then the programme runs the scenery install routine over again. This is all very frustrating and irritating. I should be very grateful if someone would offer some advice as to how to fix this problem.Adam Mills.

I did discover (by accident) that I was not able to make changes to my scenery.cfg file when it was in situ and that lead me to look at the permissions for the Fsx folder under Program Data. Under security there was entry for something called 'Authenticated Users' which lacked full control. This I changed to full control and things now seem to work! I have no idea at all what 'Authenticated Users' or how its permissions got changed.Thank you once again for your reply.Adam mills.
