Windows won't stop interfering

Recommended Posts

Hi,I just had my first flight in the Jetstream AND my first flight with Fs2Crew. It was great, although I spent more time reading manuals than flying :DI had a few problems though, the most irritating is the one I hinted at in the subject. Apparently windows tries to recognize some commands and then try to execute them and that is sooo irritating. For instance, when I have to answer "Closed" in the Before Start Checklist, more often than not windows decide that what I want to do is close the flight simulator (it probably thought I said "close"). In other situations, it grabs the word "Start" and opens the Start menu. Is there a way to stop this? The speech recognition worked mostly, however I really had problems with "Are you ready for the arrival and approach brief?". It took me about 20 tries. What about making a "cheat" command/button you can say/click to advance in situations where you really battle the speech recognition?Something like saying "Next step" or whatever? The speech recognition is very good, but still not perfect. Finally somethign that doesn't have anything to do with Fs2Crew (I think), but maybe someone here knows the answer.I was flying using my Saitek throttle, and for most of the flight the throttle controlled both engines. WHen I advanced the throttle the power levers both moved. At some point near the end of the flight something happened, and from that on, my throttle only controlled the left engine? Anyone know what could cause that and how I could have gotten back to control both engines?I am not totally sure, but I think F1-F4 also only controlled the left engine (NOTE: I am not totally sure of this last point). This didnt exactly make it easier to land :(Anyway, all in all I really enjoyed this. Fs2Crew for JS4100 is really worth the money I paid for it!

Hello Helge,Glad to hear you like it.Regarding non-FS2Crew "Windows" voice commands, please make sure that the general "Windows" speech recognition engine is not running in the background. Do not "start" windows speech recognition.Do "not" click this prior to starting FS2Crew:http://www.killerssoftware.com/images/Spee...ptionsVista.png
