Strobe and beacon light issue

Featured Replies

My problem is pretty straight forward. I just did a complete HD Format, and reistalled FS9 along with a slew of other add-ons. Problem is... Stobe and beacon lights do not work in any of my planes. Any ideas?

You are apparently missing a few effect and or effect/texture files. They can be easily restored from your install disks if that is the case. They are located on Disk 1 in the MSGAMES1.cab.Unless you know speficially which files are missing, it would probably be easiest to copy MSGAMES1.cab to a tempory folder on your Desktop and then un-cab (unzip) it there. That should create a normal FS2004 folder structure in that temp folder including a complete effects folder with its texture subfolder. You can then copy the entire effects folder or just the specfic files you may be missing into you setup. This link may be useful for future situations:http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1241545570Hope that helps.
