June 15, 201015 yr I have this, but after messing around with it the first few minutes i realized it was a little more complicated than I wanted at the time, and after learning the CS 757 I still can't make much sense of it. What's the easiest to understand tutorial to get the autopilot up and functioning?
June 15, 201015 yr If you have the manual read it, set up the fmc, its very basic. Then on take off, switch on flight director, switch on both autothrottle switches (A/T ARM). Set your speed to V2 +10 kts, set your altutde to the required altitude amd set heading to runway heading and select heading hold, push the throttle to spool up then click the screw just to the left of and above the AP button, this is the TOGA switch not mentioned in manual. Flaps normally 5 FMC wont let you change it, vspeeds based on this. Once you take off, gear up. select AP button then click the FLCH button ( flight level change ) need to push this each time you change your altitude, then you can use the VSpeed wheel to select your climb rate, once ATC have directed you to your correct heading, click the Lnav button and plane should fly its course, , cant tell you rest yet havnt got that far. To change from IAS to MACH click the screw above the IAS mach selector, again not mentioned in manual that to goes for the HDG.TRK and VS/FPA indicators.Hope that helps
