setting altitude

Is it possible to set altitude by saying: bug altitude three five zero zero instead of three thousand five hundred (example)? I have much trouble getting him to understand hundred, and quite often get runaway altitude while on approach. I tried saying hundred in different ways and so far it's hit and miss, and getting into trouble with AP this close to ground isn't funny :).Setting VS doesn't bother me that much, I can always use IAS.Greg

Hi Greg,Correct syntax is:"Bug altitude six thousand""Bug altitude one seven thousand""Bug altitude five thousand eight hundred""Bug flight level one four zero"You need to say it that way, otherwise you can get a "runaway". Do "not" say things like "bug altitude one zero one".If you get a "runaway" just click VOICE on the FS2Crew Main Panel off then back on.

Bryan I know all that, my problem is that fs2crew seems unable to understand me saying "hundred" (sometimes it does). That's why I was wondering it it would be possible to just say it without"hundred". If not I just have to set this kind of altitudes myself.Greg

Hi Greg,So you mean you want to be able to say it like this (example, 7400 feet)?"Bug altitude seven thousand four"That won't work, and would probably result in a runaway.Work on your "hundred" pronunciation... that'd be your best bet. Run the Voice Training again.Cheers,

perhaps tie it to a "flgiht level" statement then...such as an option of saying it as "flight level zero seven four"...or for 3,500 youd say it as "flight level zero three five"...just a thought

That's might work, but "hundred" should work for him.Pls also check your Mic sensitivity. It might be too low.Cheers,
