June 17, 201015 yr You know the flicking noise that starts when your using GPU with engines turned of starts like tic tic tic tic really fast, well its happening over powering the loud engines during flight, and the worst thing is it gets louder, I know this is a glitch because when I flick a switch it stops, but gets louder again.Hope you guys can helpSteve Roberts
June 20, 201015 yr Well, I dont know if it the same guys but I suspect the flicking noise you hear is the flicking of the gyroscopes in the cockpit. They start spinning at the moment the aircraft is powered up either by the batteries or the GPU. And as far as I am aware this sound is completely normal and realistic. During the flight the J41 engines are so noisy anyway that you should not even mention it.You can try lowering the cockpit sound level by the FSX menu...Cheers, Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
June 20, 201015 yr Its not the same guys, I try to reduce this noise by evry kind of solution its now acceptable. But if you said its the same thing in the real life, why not!.I just would like to justify this noise, just to know if its normal.I would not say stupid noise, but i agree annoying.Poor js41 pilots. But PMDG Js41 remain terrific.RegardsBruno
June 21, 201015 yr Author Yes, I did get a little carried away through the title, but I was having a bad day.I can live with the noise, its just that it only recently started happening to really notice it. You could hear it with engines off, but not during flight, now always, but as Bruno said this plane is amazing and it makes up for the annoying effectThanks alot for the replies,Steve
