  1. Disregard, figured it out... ChasePlane was messing up. As Boris himself suggested - go to outside view and then back in pit to restore all sounds.
  2. Boris sound pack - light switches sounds not working - runway turnoff, taxi, logo, nav and anti collision. Any ideas if bug or I'm missing something?
  3. As the title suggests, I’m looking for a straightforward way to share or copy views across aircraft of the same type. Example: PMDG B737-800 BW and PMDG B737-800 SSW. Right now, having to recreate identical camera setups for each livery or variant is painful and unnecessarily time-consuming. This question was actually asked back in 2017 (hence the Part 2), and while a workaround was suggested at the time, I can’t find a way to apply that solution in the current MSFS 2024 + ChasePlane environment. So I’m revisiting the topic: Is there currently a supported way to reuse or sync views across aircraft variants? Or is this still a limitation of the platform? Any clarification or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards, Martin
  4. So I guess it's time to clock in some DCS hours while waithing for a more permanent METAR fix... 😅tch es what the METAR was for the date it resets. Same occurs with different aircraft and on different airfields. Quite an annoying issue.Loading into the sim, initially the METAR shows the actual weather (current) but 10-15 seconds later it resets to an old date (always 26th Jan). The in-sim weather appears wrong compared with the actual, it rather matches what the METAR was for the date it resets. Same occurs with different aircraft and on different airfields. Quite an annoying issue.
  5. By any chance the addon is Sky4Sim? It recently updated to v1.6. Afterwards I started having the METAR/Live weather issues. Removed it and while METAR remains broken (reverting to 25th, 26th Jan), at least the "persistent clear skies" issue is gone and in sim weather synchs with the METAR. Not sure if related though, just trying to troubleshoot on my end..
  6. Sunday, 5th Feb was having constant METAR issue, was thinking something is broken on my end after the recent MSFS update. Glad to see it's not LoL Issue detail: Loading into the sim, initially the METAR report (MSFS METAR window selected for the nearest airport) shows the current METAR report but 10-15 seconds later it resets to an old date (always 26th Jan). The in-sim weather appears wrong from the start, it rather matches what the METAR was like for the date it resets. Same occurs with different aircraft and on different airfields...
  7. Had exactly the same issue as the OP. Fresh P3D V3. Updated NGX installer and fresh install. Half mouse click-spots weren't working. I reinstalled the NGX, reinstalled the Sim-connects (as advised in the read-me file) and started loading the NGX from the launch screen instead of in-sim. The mouse click-spots issue is fixed, another appeared: Upon launching the sim, the NGX loads (20 sec) but when ready the screens and CDU in the VC remain black. If I click on any of the screens a popup appears with the proper information displayed, click back and the screen is black again. By chance figured that if I cycle the views - outside, inside, the screens appear normal. Yes, I know it's not big deal, yet a bit annoying. Any idea how to fix that?
  8. P3D x64 and PMDG B748 v2 are the two things required to bring me back on the virtual routes -_- Looking great that 4 engine beast. Curious about the flight deck.
  9. Been fighting OOMs for quite some time (tweaking FSX/NVIDIA variables over and over), until I decided to go the DX10 way (google "Steve DX10 fixer"). It took me short amount of time to properly configure, but once done the OOMs were gone for good. Visuals are equal or better and addon airport issues have been nicely sorted out. Worth to check it out
  10. Good luck with the surgery Captain! Be sure many people across the globe (whom you haven't even heard of) will keep their fingers crossed for your fast recovery...
  11. MMartinov posted a topic in PMDG 777
    I..... must...... have....... :Praying:
  12. For me the -800 will be enough... Unless I want to spend my life behind the computer screen
  13. Looks like the long wait would be well worth it...
  14. Something's wrong with your installation. I can hear the APU sound and it's quite realistic. Check your FSX sound settings.
  15. Fully agree. Initially overexcited by the big jet, I left the NGX rusting. That until recently I wanted to demonstrate the "power of the modern sim" to a RW pilot. I used the NGX and boy, did I thoroughly enjoyed the flight after the long break. Now I regularly fly short hauls with the 738. Maybe strong role to get me reattached with the NGX played the FS2Crew addon. Perhaps once the T7 version is out it will tip the scales again.
  16. Its a very complex simulation. Clicking here and there doesn't work. Perhaps you know already, but just a reminder - if in doubt for your first flights - follow the tutorial by the letter. It gives very good idea what to do when setting up your FSX for PMDG777 flight. And no, at 89$ for this masterpiece, I truly believe I've got a great bargain to be able to closely reproduce 777 piloting on my desktop.
  17. Sorry Bryan, had to be more specific. The thing with the FO not responding with HS selected is similar to the issue the poster of this thread has. The problem with "ON" recognition is different issue and I have discussed it in the thread posted by different guy also with "ON" problem. It's two different cases.
  18. The proper grammar is displayed in the green bar but there is no response from the FO. I could not see him moving any knobs either...
  19. Hi Bryan! I had similar issue with the ON/ARM recognition with NGX and I could not fix it on my end until a patch issued from your side. Now the ON stub is back on the Q400. I was unable to complete the checklists having ON as an answer, and the whole experience gets a bit broken. On the same note I would like to make a suggestion: Sometimes there are checklist responses not being recognized, no matter how hard we try. Could you implement the NEXT ITEM (or just NEXT) command option (available with the NGX) so we can skip to the next checklist item? This way if we get stuck somewhere on the checklist we can continue without wasting too much precious time (especially when VATSIM UK ATC are waiting ^_^ ). Thanks! [EDIT] I just noticed couple of posts above you mention the SKIP command. I guess that's the same what I was looking for. Should have looked in the manual more carefully...
  20. Hi Bryan! I have done a test flight today and experienced a situation similar to the one described by the poster above. I have selected a HS option (even though I'm using a non-USB HS connected through my sound card). I usually do the same with the NGX, therefore expected same results. The FO did not responded to my commands, or at least I did not hear him responding. As soon as I unchecked the HS option, I heard the FO talking...
  21. It's mostly related to the FSX coding of how ground friction works. There are many posts regarding your question (check also NGX forum - long discussions there). Some simmers even try tweaking FSX files or aircraft.cfg to reduce the friction effect. Sadly this has some unwanted side effects on the airplane behavior. Also you should note the RW 777 when fully loaded and fueled will require some thrust to keep it moving. Another RW fact missing from the FSX is the RW runways/taxiways in 99% of the cases have some incline, decline, humps etc. Those play major role into what pilots are using as thrust to move their planes around the airfields.
  22. I can confirm, in right conditions (icing) with ASN the EAI indication comes on.
  23. Now this looks like buying ASN the minute it was out was a wise investment... HiFi is taking the lead again (sorry Opus, I still love you!).
