  1. Hahaha, good one... I'm really looking forward for this one, although I am now full-time involved in flying the MS Dash 8 (still missing its silicon co-pilot  )
  2. I wonder if this means the FS2Crew will be released closely after the T7?... Bryan says he doesn't know anything. Hard to believe
  3. Excitement levels growing.. I have a feeling the T7 will be beyond good.
  4. Hm.. Good for the bus lovers. This product got out of my hard drive on the first week though. I'm not sure it deserves the FS2Crew treatment if you put it on a par with some much more comprehensive planes released recently..
  5. " You don't know "..... Yep, right
  6. So naturally, since we know Majestic staff are watching the thread (SImeon , the question goes to MS - are yo guys planning for a SDK?
  7. Oh man I'm so spoiled!.. //// I did 10 flight with the Q400 already and I love it. I'm having a bit of a hard time to "stay on top" of the airplane while doing all those things required for 2 persons (reading the checklist is the least). Specifically taxi the plane, and do the taxi checklist or after landing checklist items... It's hard to concentrate on the power setting, the tiller, and everything else Bryan HELP!
  8. While the J41 is a sweet little plane, with the usual PMDG graphics bells and whistles, it sits way in the FSX past. The FSX2Crew addon revived its value but overall for me it is a bit outdated. On a personal note I never really liked it, although it does feature some interesting turboprop engine operations aspects (specific solely to the J41). The sound set is just OK, the ground handling is acceptable but nothing striking, it's fun and challenge to fly around... FMS is really simplified version of the real thing, and if you want to have a weather radar, you need to purchase the addon from RXP.. Good point to consider, both the plane and the FS2Crew have matured with the service packs released since and now the tandem runs very nicely together (actually after 2 years of break I re-installed the J41 couple weeks ago, and I might say I enjoyed the few flights I made). All in all, nice plane, well presented (in fact much better that what other developers are releasing) but nothing special. Now that the Q400 is out will I fly it again? I don't think so... The Majestic Q400 is a new release which revolutionizes FSX in many ways, some not even considered by PMDG. The ground handling and flight model is custom made and executed very well in fact, overcoming many of the FSX limitations. And that's the sequel of the Dash-8 300 for FS9 - the only addon bringing real turboprop operations to our computers. Everything that was missed in the 300 series, is now implemented in the Q400 on a quality level at (if not beyond) the current PMDG presentation standard (NGX). Note this addon features things not being implemented in NGX for various reasons. Last but not least - this addon was released bug free (disclaimer - it runs perfectly fine on my PC). I'm sure that all quirks will be soon ironed out by the team, but to compare - PMDG also releases at least 2 service packs for its planes, before the storm is calmed down. The only thing that plane is missing is a nice FS2Crew package, and then it will definitely take the first spot in my chart. Bottom line: if you've got the J41 already that's quite fine, buy the RXP radar and FS2Crew package to complement it, it will improve the overall experience. The Q400 is the hottest release though, so you should consider it in a near future.
  9. Thank Tom. I guess I'll live with it and have the crash detection off
  10. Guys, what's with the aircraft jumping when loaded? Every time the aircraft is spawned it bounces few times on the spot, sometimes so severe that sim considers it a crash. Something to do with OPUS camera, GSX, AES, AccuFeel? I have all of those installed.
  11. Guys, I'm sure it's been discussed already, but I can't find it: how to set C & D flight deck after the plane is loaded? Thanks. [EDIT] From an YouTube tutorial video (German) I understand that all switches have to be manually put to off. Maybe Majestic guys to consider loading C&D from the FMS as other add-on planes do. It's very easy and useful.
  12. All OK after long wait for activation. JF sent me a offline installer and an hour later after email exchange the product was activated. Going for a flight.
  13. Someone saw a market gap and quickly swoop in with a cheap Chinese plastic.. Moving on
  14. I wonder where is Bryan while this discussion is heating up?
  15. This Dash release will beat PMDG on demand And no wonder. The plane videos speak - amazing! Good for MS guys as they have invested a lot of efforts. On the negative note, after 3 hours clicking 'activate' I give up and going out for a breather. Definitely not the first day of Dash experience I was looking for...
  16. Looks like there will be many Dash 8 buzzing circuits on Vatsim today EDIT: Provided you connect to the JF authorization server.. :(
  17. Well, I wouldn't say 'rely heavily'. It's just that someone has to read the checklists and raise/lower the gear and flaps...
  18. Bryan, please, pretty please B) ... (Man, how spoiled we are, to not be able to fly without our silicon F/O anymore) On the serious side, this plane is one of the few deserving FS2Crew attention. Add-ons on this level are being developed and released once in a blue moon.
  19. Now that's good timing. Yesterday I've been looking for the SW Maryland paint and was quite surprised to find out it's not available. Thanks Trev!
  20. *777 Checklist* ... - THE LINE - > Cleared for release
  21. Absolutely agree. JS41+FS2Crew (Voice) is the way to go. Also recently FS2Crew got a major update to v2.1 After more than 1,5y break from the JS41 I started recently flying again with this bird and love every second of it. Go ahead...
