Hi guys..

I'm experiencing a major problem. No matter which FO voice i use, EU, UK or US i experience the same problem over and over again

The voice of the FO but also when making the voice test mutes all the time.  very strange is, that the indication on on the SERV/INT stays green and the volume is up.

for instance i say : cockpit to ground, then i hear go ahead, i say: please connect external power: that the power will be connected and i hear. captain external power .... --> sound is mute

or for instance the FO tells me that he is going out for the walkaround but when entering at T 20 minutes i don't hear him say that he is back.

or for instance when i use the departure brief button the voice of the captain is telling the FO the departure brief and suddenly the voice is mute..

also the same with the cecklists.. I can't get to finish a single checklist because the FO silents suddenly.

I always use the preflight events..

It is not the first FS2crew product i use.. i never had any problems with airbus fs2crew or ngx fs2crew.

Someone experience the same problem? or has a solution for this? currently the product is unuseable

Thanks in advance

add: i updated to 1.1. - same problem

That's a weird one, especially since we use the exact same system used in other FS2Crew products like the NGX.

If you ever used the NGX or Airbus, your results with the Q400 should be exactly the same.

First, please try the Airbus and NGX again.  See if they still work fine.

If they don't, then something weird happened to your system.  Try updating your audio drivers.

But, if the NGX and Airbus are fine, but the Q400 FO is still going on strike, send me a support ticket.

I'll help you via a Remote Desktop.

I'd need to see this one with my own eyes :-)

Cheers,

I experienced the same until I stop using the Headset option.

It was before 1.1, though.

normally i use fs2crew with the audio option "headset" (AirbusX and NGX).

suddenly when using fs2crew with the dash8 and the "headset" option the FO was often mute.

Then i switched to the option "speaker" and the mute thing was gone..

I don't use a usb headset and my understanding is that there are some inconsistencies with it, but this is just a guess.

Can you be more specific please.

When is the FO mute?

The Dash 8 uses the exact same system as the Airbus and NGX, so your results should be identical.

Hi Bryan!

I have done a test flight today and experienced a situation similar to the one described by the poster above.

I have selected a HS option (even though I'm using a non-USB HS connected through my sound card). I usually do the same with the NGX, therefore expected same results. The FO did not responded to my commands, or at least I did not hear him responding. As soon as I unchecked the HS option, I heard the FO talking...

Weird one which I can't reproduce.

I need to know if the FO is actually acting on the command, and you see the proper command in the green bar.

If he is, then it's just an audio problem.

The proper grammar is displayed in the green bar but there is no response from the FO. I could not see him moving any knobs either...

I thought the problem was you couldn't get "on" to be recognized.

What exactly are you trying to say?  I need something specific and reproducible.

Sorry Bryan, had to be more specific.

The thing with the FO not responding with HS selected is similar to the issue the poster of this thread has. The problem with "ON" recognition is different issue and I have discussed it in the thread posted by different guy also with "ON" problem. It's two different cases.

Hi Martin,

Please send me a Support Ticket at www.fs2crew.com

You can show me via a Remote Desktop what's happening.

The Headset function in FS2Crew is purely for receiving audio.

It can't mute your voice commands, unless you somehow turned on Hard Mute or hit the mute button on your headset (I've done that before by mistake).

Cheers,
