byork's post in FS2Crew P3D v3.3 Win10 AppHang was marked as the answerI responded to your support ticket.
But I suspect it's an audio driver issue with your new computer.
Ensure you have all audio drivers updated.

byork's post in Speaker Vs. Headset was marked as the answerYou need to open the CFG panel... To do that, press "CFG" on the FS2Crew Main Panel.... Then select which audio device is associated with your Headset.... then press "HS" on the Main Panel.
Most, but not all, of the FO audio will then go through your headset.

byork's post in FA Announcements? was marked as the answerHi Klaus,
FS2Crew has its own announcements in the Dash 8.
But, you have to setup the Captain's audio panel properly to hear them (same way you would on the actual plane).
It's described in the manual how you need to set the Capt's audio panel to be able to monitor the PAs.

byork's post in Installer won't open was marked as the answerWe have 1000s of Dash 8 users. I don't recall this one before.
In most cases, the problem is due to your anti-virus. Try having your anti-virus exclude the FS folder, and re-install FS2Crew.
EDIT: I though you were referring to the Config Manager.
You're referring to the installer. It sounds like a corrupt download. Please download again.

byork's post in Airbus X and Airbus AS (Airbus A320/A321) vs FS2Crew Aerosoft Airbus Voice was marked as the answerYou'll want the latest version of the Airbus released by Airbus.
Things got tricky because Aerosoft changed the name of their Airbus product mid cycle.
So long as you have the "newest" Airbus, not the old one, you'll be fine.
Make sure you run the Aerosoft Config Manager for and select "enable FS2Crew".
Run it with Admin rights to avoid any write permission issues.
Remember that the A318/319 model has its own Config Manager.

byork's post in Fuel Pumps in checklist? was marked as the answerHi Denis,
We used the actual Airbus checklist.
If I start changing the checklist, the Airbus 'purists' will come after me!

byork's post in PMDG 747 EICAS AND main displays turn off / black out was marked as the answerCould be a license problem. Or power problem. Make sure the generators are on the Engines.

byork's post in can I modify the soft mute key in fs2crew? was marked as the answerHi Oscar,
What you want is a Push To Speak to the FO key.
FS2Crew does not have that type of function.
Why would you need it?
If dealing with on-line ATC, it's best to connect your Voice Transmit button to the Soft Mute key.
You can also keep Hard Mute on most of the time, and just shut it off when you want to talk.

byork's post in FS2Crew PMDG 737 install on FSX SE was marked as the answerThat's because you're probably running a side-by-side install of FSX Steam, and it uses a different registry key than a stand-alone FSX/Steam install.
FS2Crew NGX does not yet officially support Steam.
We'll have to update our installer to account for the two possible variations of Steam: Stand-alone and side-by-side.
If you had a "stand-alone" steam install, it would work just like regular FSX.
-
byork's post in Second Leg, FO dont start was marked as the answerOn a second leg, do not re-load the PMDG panel state. Don't do that or you will confuse FS2Crew.
Leave the plane as it is after shutdown.
-
byork's post in FS2CREW VOİCE PROBLEM was marked as the answerYou probably ran System Mechanic... that damages Windows speech recognition in some way.
You should do a clean re-install of Windows.

byork's post in 777 configuration manager was marked as the answerJust do a Windows file search for the file: "FS2Crew777.exe".
Right click on that and create a short-cut.
But I think your Norton is to blame. Make sure it is fully off all the way then re-install FS2Crew.

byork's post in Aerosoft Airbus A320 Voice control P3D v2.2 install? was marked as the answerI've never used that.
But so long as the FS2Crew folder is in the P3D main folder and there are FS2Crew entries on the Airbus's panel.cfg file, you'll be okay.

byork's post in Fs2 Crew Airbus X CTD was marked as the answerFS2Crew's memory footprint is actually quite small.
As a test, turn your scenery sliders down more, especially LOD.

byork's post in "Gear Down" in cruise or initial descent. was marked as the answerHi Dana,
The ignition switch would stay in the 'Auto' position, not Cont for those models. Staying in 'Auto' is technically correct.
As for gear down, in a future I'll update I'll tie more conditions to the 'gear down' command to avoid unintended 'gear down' commands should that phrase be somehow detected in cruise.

byork's post in Acc Altitude was marked as the answerPrint out the latest manual.
Say it exactly like this as a single phrase:
FLAPS 0, I A S ONE EIGHTY FIVE, CLIMB CHECKLIST TO THE LINE
You need to say "eighty five", not "eight five".
And don't say "set".

byork's post in How to begin Pushback was marked as the answerThat's only if he wants to use the PMDG built in pushback.
To use the FS2Crew pushback, double check:
1. You see Cockpit to Ground in the Green Bar.
2. The FS2Crew mode refers to Engine Start/Pushack.
3. You're 100 percent certain the audio panel is setup right:

byork's post in RAAS pro.dll crash was marked as the answerWe did some research and discovered it *may* be an annoying Simconnect bug.
Thing to note is there are tens of thousands of RAAS's out there because all 777 and Aerosoft Airbus users have it, and crashes like this are reported very, very rarely.
Read what the mighty Pete Dowson has to say:
http://forum.simflight.com/topic/68382-fsx-fails-to-run-after-fsuipc4-first-installed/
Basically the solution is to just keep clicking "yes" until it eventually works.

byork's post in FS2Crew Stopped Working was marked as the answerAVAST is definitely the problem.
It's the common denominator between everyone who had this specific problem.
I'll contact AVAST.
Obviously their recent definitions update nailed FS2Crew.
In the meantime, try excluding the FSX folder from Avast, or allow it through the firewall as described by the above poster.
Personally, I just use the default Microsoft anti-virus that comes with Win 8. It's worked well for me.

byork's post in Monitored approaches was marked as the answerThe old FS9 version used procedures that came from old Continental manuals (airline specific).
The new FS2Crew 737 NGX uses Boeing procedures more or less.
For a low visib approach, just use CAT II / III procedures. There's no much difference though, just a couple extra calls between it and a regular CAT I.

byork's post in PMDG 737-600/700 - Does FS2Crew Work With It? was marked as the answerThere will be no problems.
You may have to install SP1C again. That's it.

byork's post in SDK - Detect end of initialization phase was marked as the answerWasn't possible in the NGX SDK to do that.
Maybe they'll add to the 777 SDK if you request it.
-
byork's post in A very minor point was marked as the answerOur patches are such that literally every file changes, so there's no point in releasing stand-alone patches since the file size would be the same.
Also, you're provided with ample download attempts on purchase.
However, should you run out of downloads, just send me an email and I'll reset your download limit.
Easy as pie.
