Regarding the 747 v2

Featured Replies

Seeing as once the 777-300ER comes out, the 747-400v2 is the next all-new product that we'll be getting from PMDG, unless the DC-6 busts out ahead.  I've been wondering if PMDG will model the Domestic -400D, the combi -400M, and the Qantas -400ER models along with the standard -400 and the -8.  Any thoughts?

I believe the last ever 747-400D in service was retired last month...

I think we are expecting 747-400, 747-400F, 747-8 and -8F

not sure about the -ER, though I hope so.

What WILL be interesting is if the 747-8 models are just visual changes or actually modelled with their different systems and engine options. That said, modelling the -400 with 3 engine options and then adding the -8 models with new engines and many different systems may be asking to much.

I'm massively confident the 747-8 systems will be modelled.

I remember the development team saying that the 748 will be different from the 744.

I'd like to see the LCF model, even if it is just a visual update

I would love to see that!

Yes, the -8 will be a -8, not just a visual upgrade.   I remember RSR saying that since they have the technology already they decided that they might just as well give that to us :-).   This was at the Munich conference sometime ago.

Don't know about the -400ER though, but that would be wonderful!

Kind regards

Any thoughts?

I actually hope that after the -300/ER we will get the -200/ER and then the 747V2

Best regards,

Going off topic again sorry but what if I don't want to share my system specs?
