Hey all! Just did a full windows reinstall and now for some reason when I select live weather I only get clear skies. Yes data and live weather is enabled. Never had this problem before. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • Or the frequent, "Patience you must learn" comment. I hate when folks blindly defend something and stand on a hill for absolutely no reason. There are no pitch forks... no riots... just folks who want

  • Oh well, then clearly everyone else is doing it wrong including Asobo who have it listed as being under investigation. 🙄

  • True wisdom.  We have a cloud-based sim which depends on a billion things being just right in order to function, and MS/Asobo has kept the weather largely highly functional 99% of the time and now all

There are already tons of threads and even a pinned post on msfs official forums ...

Seems like a lot of other people are having issues.

Seems offline for me.

It's not you, it's broken. It's injecting nonsense if it's even injecting at all. I just checked the METAR of Heathrow and it is from the 1st day of the month. Not exactly "live".

also check your data settings whether online data is enabled. happend once only (luckily) that I saw the same symptoms of not being connected to anything until I realized that MSFS was offline in the data settings

EDIT unless it really only affects live weather which seems a know issues these days/hours:  https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/weather-reports/573615. but since you seem to not be connected/online at all, you may check your settings

Yea, no live weather. Toggling lie weather makes an incorrect adjustment to the pressure and changes visibility, but all other perimeters remain unchanged. It seems to have been well reported and under investigation so time to go do something else with my day. I will check back in tonight.

Sim is utterly useless without proper live weather. No simming for me this weekend. Asobo won’t get to this until Monday. If they are not gong to open the weather API, then they bloody well make sure the default works!

Mine started working about 15 minutes after I started the flight.

@Farlis, Perhaps the correct way of putting it is that the sim is useless to him. It is also useless to me. I have no interest in flying with anything other than real weather.

To each their own.

Same. But like you said that only makes the sim useless for us personally, not in general. I read that a surprising amount of people fly only with presets, which is why they never noticed the quirks and imperfections of live weather.

I recently realized this as well! When I am simulating a flight it is always with live weather but at a time like this, when the weather is offline and I want to fly, I will do practices using some of the presets. Great opportunity this weekend to practice low visibility landings in the Kodak!

Hopefully they sort it out soon, but likely not to next week.

I've had this problem all week. I first noticed it on Monday when the OAT was about 20 degrees too hot. I toggled live weather on and off which made the temperature correct, but didn't fix the wind speed or clouds. The winds and temperature have all been correct for the rest of the flights I've done this week, but I haven't seen one cloud in the sky. I flew into Manchester on Thursday which was forecast to be overcast at 4000 but there was not one cloud to be seen! Please Absobo, let the guys at Active Sky work their magic!
