Buying a new computer

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,Being in the decisionmaking process for the purchase of a new computer (which I will be using mainly for FS9), I've been offered a system with following specs:CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @2.67 GhzRAM: Corsair DDR3 6GBVideo Card: Asus EAH5670/DI/512Mb (Ati Radeon)HD: Samsung 1TB Sata2 32MbThis system (and its price) seems OK to me, but I'm considering to have a 'comparable' Nvidia card built in instead of the Ati. Reasons: Good experience with Nvidia over many years, I like the tweaking possibilities of those cards (a.o. with Nhancer) and I'm a bit reluctant to 'jump into' a brand I do not know. Any advice would be very much appreciated.Kind regards,Ren

That's overkill for FS9 IMHO

Thanks for the replies guys. Think I will settle for an Nvidia card. As for Jetlinesystems: No doubt excellent stuff, but a bit above my budget, and I don't intend to fly FSX. But thanks for the pointer all the same.Regards,Ren
