June 25, 201015 yr The title says it all...How many [fltsim.x] sections can you have? Please advise and thanks!Mark
June 25, 201015 yr Author Thanks Gus...I was hunting around and couldn't find anything that really specified it. For some dumb reason I thought that it was 200. I must have been mistaken.Mark
June 25, 201015 yr I restrict mine to 100 simply so the folder doesnt become unmanageable. I then create a new folder and start from fltsim.0Peter Peter Schluter
June 25, 201015 yr Author Thanks Peter..that's probably a good idea. The reason why I was asking is that I had written a renumbering utility a couple of months ago. I wrote the thing in a day and put a 200 fltsim.x section limit in it because I had heard it was the max. The other day a end user sent me an email saying that he needed more then the 200 fltsim.x section limit. So I send him a version that has an unlimited renumbering capacity and wanted to make sure of the limit before I released a new version.Mark
June 25, 201015 yr I think at one point 200 was thought to be the limit. Programs such as ACA2005 would report an error if there were more, but a later update removed that restriction. I assume because there is no limit or at least we've not come across it yet.I have AI aircraft (especially the MAIW ones) with 200+ or even 300+ fltsim sections. Although I haven't verified if all of them show up in my sim, I've never missed anything either.:( My Aardvark 738W has recently gone over the 200 barrier. For example, Luxair is 203 and it's showing up fine at ELLX.:( Mike...
June 25, 201015 yr Author Thanks Mike...that's very helpful. So when I do a re-write I'll simply remove any restrictions on the fltsim.x sections.Mark
