June 25, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi, I recently purchased and installed an Aten DVI KVM switch, that enables me to share my sound, keyboard, mouse and monitor with 2 computers. It works really well, however, I have one issue and it only happens when using FSX. Basically, i get a kind of a "flash" that only lasts a split second, but during which the image on screen moves slightly. As you can imagine, this is not only irritating, but disconcerting when you are trying to land etc.As it only happens when using FSX, I am sure this is not a problem with the new hardware -Black shark, Falcon 4 all work fine without this issue. Can anyone think of anything ( I use the enb series mod, and capped frame rates, although have tried turning these off - no difference) that may be FSX specific that would cause this? I can post a video if that helps....Cheers,Mark
June 25, 201015 yr Mark, this shouldn't be happening. It sounds like your computer is switching to the other hardware based on some command in FSX. Check all your hotkey commands in FSX and the KVM switch to make sure you haven't got duplicate hotkeys for anything programmed in both. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. June 25, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Trelane, I did not set any hotkeys up for the KVM switch, I just use the button on the front. I wonder if any are enabled by default? It does not switch though, its more of split second freeze and then restart. It does not happen when I press any certain key or do anything particular either. Also the frequency and timing is intermittent as well.Cheers,Mark
