.rcd file missing in saved flights folder

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I have been using RC4 for about 6 months with no problems. I noticed lately that after saving during flight FSUIPC says that the flight has been saved, but in the saved flights folder there is no ".rcd" file - only the .fssave and .wx file is present. I have done a "reformat" in my laptop (due to numerous bugs) - the factory settings were restored and all data erased. Did another fresh installation of FSX, RC4 and other add-ons but this problem still persists.Any ideas on how to solve this?

click the .flt/.wx button, and define the path where fsx is storing the .flt/.wx files - then you should see .rcd, .flt, and .wx files therejd

Yes, I have already done that prior to this post. For some reason, I can't seem to find where the ".rcd" files are.A comprehensive search using the "search" function in Windows 7 reveals that the files are nowhere to be found, despite the "flight saved" message during flight.

Thanks for the help John. Will test this again in my next flight (with fingers crossed).
