July 7, 201015 yr Ok, just out of curiosity I wanted to see just what are the rules for commercial vendors here on the forums (I still dream of the day when I turn pro :( ), but I can't seem to find where it's listed. Man, these forums are huge when you start looking around. Can someone point me in the right direction? Is it the Terms & Use statement?thx,ClutchYep-in the Terms & Use statement:"The User shall use AVSIM Online's WEB Site and System (here-in-after known as the System) for lawful purposes only. User shall not post or transmit through the System any material which violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others, which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law, or which, without AVSIM Online's express prior approval, contains advertising or any solicitation with respect to products or services except as may be allowed for within the guidelines set forth for the System. However, Tom's post concerns a more devious practice of someone who represents themselves as a flight simmer with no commercial interests when in fact they have ties to a developer, and then posts what looks like a legit rave of a product. As Ron pointed out, we have also found the converse to be true-a poster who may give skathing reviews of a product, but may have connections to a competitor or just an personal agenda. Most times these people have multiple names/accounts and flood a post with these bogus names to make it look legit. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
