New Version of GoFlight MCPPRO interface for the J41

Featured Replies

Hi,I have just uploaded a new version of my LUA scripts that enable better functionality of the MCP PRO with the J41. This version has improved performance, compatibility with FS2Crew and some bug fixes.MCP users can customise the scripts to make use of it.Search the avsim library for mcpproj41apv2.zipBest wishesSteve

Thanks so much for this little program for the MCP Pro. It works great! I am using it regularly now, really lights up the GF MCP with the J41.

No worries, glad you like it. I think it still needs a few tweaks, thats why its still only a beta release, but its certainly very useable and makes flying the J41 so much easier.

Can't wait for it to be out of beta with whatever those final tweaks are, but right now, it works great! A big assist in the cockpit of the J41. I do have a bit of a challenge with the left course knob. It does not seem to be very precise and I have to use the VC course knob to get it to where I want it, but other than that all seems to work well. Thanks again.

I don't have that problem. Are you aware that the knobs are speed sensitive - the faster you turn them the greater the increase/decrease of the value concerned. You should just be able to turn it one click left or right for a fine tune. Are you using gfdisplay.exe?

Stephen Munn

Steve, yes I am aware the the dials are speed sensitive. It just does not work well in either direction, skips around a lot and have to fine tune it with the mouse in the VC to get it accurate. I don't know exactly what the "gfdisplay.exe" is but I have the latest GF DLL and run the setup for the various stacks such as the GF-46; GF-T8; GF-166A; GF MCP Pro to set the button assignments etc; is that what you mean? I have many racks of GF modules. Thanks Again, Joe

It sounds as if in the GF config manager, the mcp pro has not been set to compatiable add on, can you double check that please. Thanks.

Stephen Munn

Hi Steve,Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Yes, I do have it set to compatible add-on in the GF Config Manager. So must be an issue with a pot for the course selector, only thing I can think of.

Maybe, but if the MCP PRO works ok with default aircraft (have you checked?) then there is something wrong with my code. Can other people report if the CRS dial works OK for them or not?ThanksSteve

Hi Steve,Here is what happens with the left course dial. It is erractic when turning and only turns to the right. It does not work turning the knob to the left. Don't know if that helps you?Joe
