Co pilot will not fly any planes

Featured Replies

Hi thereRecently re-installed all my flight sim and addons. However, for some reason, when I hand the controls over to the Co Pilot, he will not make any adjustments at all. Also notice, that even with CTRL-SHFT-L does not alter any of my radios, nor does the Co Pilot change any radios if I give him Comms. this is making RCV4 useless for me. Any Idea what could be wrong?CheersRob

After reinstalling RC4 did you check for FSUIPC (and Makerwys) being current from the links pinned in the topic at the forum head? With most aircraft there should be no trouble with the co-pilot controlling your comms. I don't recall if autotune on contact needs to be enabled for the copilot. For the co-pilot to fly the aircraft it must be a standard MS interfaced autopilot. Some aircraft like the PMDGs do not adhere to this standard and can not be controlled by RC's co-pilot.I'd look into other applications using the same keystrokes as RC or capturing all and not passing them to RC. You can change RC's menu assigned keys from that tab in RC. In some aircraft models there is an FMC function that allows PC keyboard input. This can prevent RC from receiving keystrokes. This needs to be turned off before starting RC.If you can't resolve this a log created and sent in as described in the topic at the forum head for the initial portion of the flight just past where these troubles occur (quit RC to stop it and then in the RC folder rename the log file so it does not get overwritten) will show if your keystrokes are being received by RC.If you are not getting error messages your security setup is probably OK. If you are using VISTA or WIN 7 be sure the shortcut to RC has an advanced property set to run as admin. FS should be set up the same way.
