Missing Object Libraries and fs9.cfg

Featured Replies

Hi,Just thought I'd share a couple of lines that might be handy for people using ez-sceneries and so forth with lots of object libraries. The following lines under [scenery] in the fs9.cfg file will let you know if you're missing libraries and will show a transparent green box in the scenery where the object is meant to be.[scenery]MissingLibraryAlert=1ShowTriggers=1Unfortunately, the missinglibraryalert doesn't give you the filename to chase for the objects, and only gives you a guid - at least, I think its a guid. But at least it lets you know you're missing something and shows you where its meant to be (if the codes are guids, maybe it'd be good to have a guid lookup somewhere online!)These lines are also in the fsx.cfg, but that has already been documented. Cheers,Bryn.

Have you "tested" this Bryn? The ShowTriggers=1 is normally used to display the thermals and also the the fuel trigger boxes at fueling stations. Never heard of it showing missing Library objects too.Just curious.

MissingLibraryAlert=1 does pop up a window identifying the missing libraries.I assumed the green boxes were where the missing objects were, but they could just have been the fuel boxes. My possibly incorrect assumption was probably fortified by my reading of how "showTriggers=1" works in FSX (where it does show the missing objects).Bryn.
