HI, just rec.new rig, " EVGA x58 SLI LE MB ,i7-960 320 ghz CPU, 6GB Ram.EVGA GTX 460 vid card" thought it would eat TP. up. using same setting. my old rig runs better. " Q9550 CPU,4Gb Ram, evga GTX 9800 vid card. really p---sed off. any help. :(

I thought that when I upgraded my PC. However, TP has its limitations with regard to the speed at which the textures can be loaded into flight sim. Therefore I still get blurries at over 100kts, but I only tend to use TP for low and slow anyway. It does take a while to tune a new system so everything is working at peak. I had real problems trying to get the Nvidia drivers working with W7 and FSX properly and still can't get as much AA as I would like now and whatever mipmap line I use inthe fsx.cfg makes no difference to the mipmaps.IAN

Ian and Loyd, Everything is working ok ,cant realy tell what did it, this is what I changed. removed Win 7. from the SSD drive, reinstalled Win 7 on the regular Hdd, formatted the SSD drive, now use it as a dedicated drive for TP. the SSD drive was only 30 GB anyway, its faster than the HDD so the tiles preload faster. :(

I always suspected that TP would run great from a SSD drive.IAN
