July 15, 201015 yr Hi,I recently bought amsterdam X, but the problem is dat RC doesn't find the airport. When I fly to the airport the last waypoint is schiphol according the flightplan (inserted from FSBuild), RC does not show this waypoint, and it sends me to 3150m to nowhere. When I start at schiphol, and I start RC, it sends the plane to a point in the middle of the sea.I've done the database update, and I found no problems with other new add-ons.Can you help me with this?thanks Raymond ======================== HAPPY FLYING Raymond
July 15, 201015 yr Please download MakeRunways 4.41, and for FSX FSUIPC4 4.60 or for FS9 FSUIPC 3.98 from:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html, especially MakeRunways. This version of Makerwys changed its method of scanning your installed scenery and no longer misses some installed airports.Once you install makerwys.exe in your FS9 or FSX folder, you must run from within RC4 the scenery rebuild. This may not be specific to your problem but I enter this just to insure you are current in these important components. What I think is going on is that your Schiphol airport waypoint in the flight plan plan does not have coordinates that are correct or matching RC's database. This sometimes happens in AIRAC updates. The current one you can download from FSBuild.com is Fsbuild Navdata Airac Cycle 1005 (May 2010) at no charge. I created an FSBuild flight plan from EGSS to EHAM and it had coordinates correct for EHAM. I also checked the database created for RC4 and it had correct coordinates (it was created from data produced by makerunways version 4.41.) for the default EHAM that matched FSBuild's coordinates.I am an FS9 user but I do have the FS9 version of Aerosoft's Schiphol installed from their Scandanavian Airports collections. When Schiphol is your arrival or destination airport the coordinates in your plan file must match nearly the coordinates extracted from your scenery for RC's runway and airport database. If you are not within a certain distance of the airport when you load your departure flight RC will move your aircraft to where it thinks it should be. I'm not sure how it handles the arrival if the coordinates do not match. Here in FS9.pln format (will work in RC and FSX) is the plan data:[flightplan]title=EGSS to EHAMdescription=EGSS, EHAMtype=IFRroutetype=3cruising_altitude=25000departure_id=EGSS, N51* 53.06', E000* 14.06',+000348.00departure_position=23destination_id=EHAM, N52* 18.29', E004* 45.51',-000011.00departure_name=STANSTEDdestination_name=SCHIPHOLwaypoint.0=EGSS, A, N51* 53.06', E000* 14.06', +000000.00, waypoint.1=REDFA, I, N52* 06.52', E002* 29.16', +24000.00, waypoint.2=TULIP, I, N52* 22.03', E003* 51.26', +11000.00, waypoint.3=EHAM, A, N52* 18.29', E004* 45.51', +000000.00, and here it is in FSX XML format:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?><SimBase.Document Type="AceXML" version="1,0"> <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr> <FlightPlan.FlightPlan> <Title>EGSS to EHAM</Title> <FPType>IFR</FPType> <RouteType>HighAlt</RouteType> <CruisingAlt>25000</CruisingAlt> <DepartureID>EGSS</DepartureID> <DepartureLLA>N51
July 16, 201015 yr Author I downloaded the newest 'makerunway' en rebuilded the database, and it seems to help. When loading a flightplan in RC, EHAM is showing again :( Thanks for your help, Raymond ======================== HAPPY FLYING Raymond
