August 2, 201015 yr Hi HaniSee my responses below.==========================5. Drag the undocked panel to the 4th monitor. Resize as necessary; it's OK to overlap onto the TH2go screens.Ok here is where I need clarification, when you say resize, is it to fill the 4th screen or it has to overlap on the 3rd screen of the TH2go.==========================When the main panel is undocked and relocated to the 4th monitor, it will probably be the wrong size. You may want to enlarge it - "fill the 4th screen", and yes, parts of the panel that you don't need to see (or parts of the undocked window), can hang over into other monitors, like the TH2go screens, and they'll disappear in Full Screen mode. It doesn't have to overlap, but it's OK if it does.==========================7. Adjust the sizing and location of the 2D panel on the 4th monitor. This is to fit the 4th screen correct?==========================Yes, that's right. When you go to Full Screen, sometimes you find that the panel on the 4th monitor needs some additional sizing or positioning to look just right.==========================8. Adjust the outside view on the TH2go monitor if necessary, to fill the entire screen. Only the outside world is displayed on the TH2go screens. Please explain the word if necessary, as it is here that I have the issue. I adjust the outside view on the TH2Go to fill the entire 3 screen of the Th2 go or adjust it to fit on 1 screen, because I used to drag the outside view to my 4th monitor, and I guess this is where I am wrong?==========================I have lots of addon airplanes. And the relocation of various panels can work differently for some reason. In the case of the Maddog MD-80, when I go to Full Screen mode, the lower half of my TH2go outside view is black. I have to use the mouse to 'pull' the lower edge of the view, to the bottom of the TH2go screens. Most addons are not like that. With the MD-11, when I press Alt + Enter, the full outside view is displayed on the TH2go screens - there is no border, the outside view fills the entire three screens (except for the outside edges due to Bezel Management).==========================9. Right Click on one of the TH2go screens, and select Virtual Cockpit from the popup menu. The VC with the outside world should all be on the TH2go screens, with the 2D main panel on the 4th monitor.Ok I see your point, but I need to know how big or small the outside view should be on the TH2go.==========================The outside view should fill the three screens. Since FS9 shows the three monitors together as 3840x1024, in Full Screen mode, the image on that 'monitor' (monitors) should fill the entire display area. When selecting VC, you should see that outside view change to the VC view across all three screens. One other item of interest, is saving the custom panel setup once you have it the way you want. It takes a bit of time for me to undock and relocate/resize the various panels, and I sure wouldn't want to go through that each time I fly. So once they are positioned, while in Windowed mode, I save the flight. When I open that saved flight the next time, all of the panels are where they should be - I just have to go to Full Screen mode, and off I go.If my memory is correct, FSX is a little better at dealing with undocked windows and such, versus FS9. I don't use FS9 anymore, but I seem to recall that saved flights with undocked panels, didn't restore as well with FS9 - it seemed like they all ended piled on top of each other on the main screen. In the foggy recesses of my mind, I thought I used to save in Windowed Mode, go to Full Screen Mode, go back to Windowed Mode and save again, and exit the sim...or some such technique.Good luck,Noel W Noel Wiebracht -------------------- [email protected]||Gigabyte P67A-UD7||8 Gb Mushkin Redline DDR3 1600||Gigabyte GTX580 x 2||Noctua NH-D14||Crucial SATAIII 256Gb x 2||CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1200W||Coolermaster RC-942 HAF X||Dell U3011 30"|Multiple Monitors w/TH2goD-DH2goD-Touchscreens||Win7 64 Pro||FSX Gold
August 2, 201015 yr Author Hi Noel, Ok I tried everything you said, and here is the results.I can get my 2D panel on my 4th monitor. Only the panel 2D, with no scenery on the background.I can get the 3 other monitors to display the perfect 3D VC on the TH2go.So my only problem, is when I hit ALT+enter, the 4th monitor on the top, is always black. That I am not able to shoe the scenery. Here is the pics:Please let me know, if it might be my set uo, or something I am still doing wrong. Thanks so muchHani
August 3, 201015 yr Hi HaniSo my only problem, is when I hit ALT+enter, the 4th monitor on the top, is always black. That's correct, the areas without panels will be black. If you don't want the black at the top, click on the panel and pull it up, and the black will be at the bottom. You wouldnt' want to just stretch it up (grab the upper border versus moving the whole panel), because the round dials will be distorted. Some panels will fill the whole screen, or nearly so. It just depends how they are designed. For that airplane, you might consider dragging the main panel to the top, and undocking some other popup windows, like the GPS or the ATC window. They can be placed on the 4th monitor too.You also might consider placing the fourth monitor beneath the other three. You can buy some fancy triple monitor stands, or make some out of wood like I did. Somehow you'd have to raise the three monitors, or put a hole in your desk for the 4th monitor. You could also put the 4th monitor above the other three. Here's an earlier configuration I used. You can see how I placed the default 737 panel and associated popups around the 4th monitor, like the GPS and Pedestal. They are located where there would have been a black stripe. No sense wasting screen real estate. That I am not able to shoe the scenery.Indeed, there should be no scenery in the 4th monitor with this configuration, only the main panel. I tried to clarify just what you were after before, and I thought you were aiming for what you now have.I will say though, one item is still not clear. Are you sure you're not trying to emulate what you saw in my photos 5 & 6, versus 3 & 4? With 3 & 4, there are two 3D views...two duplicated views of the outside world, not just a panel on one, and the outside world on the other. I posted that configuration, because your earlier post seemed to say that, but this would be an odd configuration in my mind. In my 5th and 6th photos, there is one 3D view with the outside world and VC, and a single screen for the 2D instrument panel. This is a much more framerate friendly configuration, not to mention not having the distraction of the scenery being duplicated on different screens. If you want the scenery on the 4th monitor, and the panel...perhaps what you're thinking is, having an angled view out that 4th monitor on the right, looking to the right of the aircraft. While this is possible, I'm not sure it would look right, trying to mix the TH2go scenery with an angled outside view. And also, there's a significant frame rate hit with adding what amounts to a second 3D View.So maybe you can clarify that. Also, I noticed in your screen shot that you were not using Bezel Management. Now maybe you just hadn't engaged it yet, using the Matrox Powerdesk SE app. It's certainly something you want to use to make the TH2go view look correct.Noel W Noel Wiebracht -------------------- [email protected]||Gigabyte P67A-UD7||8 Gb Mushkin Redline DDR3 1600||Gigabyte GTX580 x 2||Noctua NH-D14||Crucial SATAIII 256Gb x 2||CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1200W||Coolermaster RC-942 HAF X||Dell U3011 30"|Multiple Monitors w/TH2goD-DH2goD-Touchscreens||Win7 64 Pro||FSX Gold
August 3, 201015 yr Author Hi Noel,Thank you very much for this last post, it really clarified for me, that I am not as nuts as I thought :( Ok I understand clearly, that this is the best set up to be able to get a friendly rate.In your post #12 your pic 3, and 4 shows 1 photo of the 3 screens in VC with scenery in windows mode, and 1 screen front panel with scenery in windows mode, then in pic 4 you have the same as before but in full screen. That was what I was aiming for originally. as attached pic.Now all the other adjustment, like moving the panel upwards on the 4th screen, I didn't do that as I was just testing. And also, I did not action the bezel management yet, I will do that tonight. As for the the 3 screen holding stands, I did not get there yet, I will look at it certainly. it makes it very realistic, having the 4th screen beneath the other 3.Noel, again I cannot thank you enough for all your help, and I wish you all the best.Best regardsHani
