August 6, 201015 yr Yes this way is right but it is so long so I tell you the second way is use this application as administrator. so just right click it and select run as administrator. its working try it.
August 8, 201015 yr Now I am really confused. I thought I had disabled UAC so I had access to MY FRICKING COMPUTER #*$&@#%#$*&$*!! But when I go into the folder C:\Users\{{Me}} and try access the Applications Data folder, it gives me an error. Tells me I am not authorized. Access denied. I am listed as the administrator and log in that way. #####?
August 8, 201015 yr Author OK- Look at the folder "Application Data" that you are trying to access, and note that it has a small arrow on the icon- that means that it is a "shortcut", and so- no- you can never access this folder (at least I can't).You need to go to the folder "AppData", then to "Roaming", where you will see the folder you expect ( "Microsoft/FSX"). What I have found (a newbie too in Win 7) is that any time you see that shortcut arrow, it's time to launch Google, or Yahoo.Good luck, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.

Win-7 is a nice fast OS, but it sure is quirky. I was trying to restore my fsx.cfg to the old settings. Should've tried the folder you recommended.
