Yes, you can run faster RAM, but I highly doubt it will do something for FSX. 1333 is fine.But 3GB (3X1GB) is not right. That's a dual channel CPU, pick 4GB (2x2GB)If you want to overclock (and that will help a lot) pick a good aftermarket cooler like a Venomous X or a Prolimatech Megahalems

if your using this computer mostly for fsx get a MSI p55a-gd65 motherboard. its the same type of socket as the gd-85 and still has usb 3.0 and sata 6bg/s support that the gd-85 has but costs alot less.
