Crashing after catapult start with AICarriers

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,I already successfully landed and started from the Carrier in my FSX Acc. installation several times in the F/A 18 Mission that comes with FSX. Since my successfull landing / crash ratio is somewhere around 1/10 I was happy to find the AICarriers2 package.Together with the T-45 Goshawk landing on a Carrier is now a breeze. Just get up in the Air, SHIFT-J --> Place a carrier and practice landing. All´s fine so far. But after landing, when I roll to the Catapult I lower the Hook with SHIFT-U, connect it to the Catapult with SHIFT-I, lower flaps one notch, give full throttle and wait until it sabilizes and pull back on the stick slightly... then I press SHIFT-Spacebar and off I go... not into the Air. But just when leaving the Deck FSX tells me that I crashed. It seems that when getting right off the Deck something tells FSX that I collided with an invisible wall or something like that.Since the AICarriers Package seems to use the Default FSX Carriers I don´t know what to do. It shouldn´t be a problem with the carrier itself, right? Any Ideas of what to do?Thanks in adavnce and kind regards!

Please check your Windows Event Viewer and look for any errors at the time of your crash(es). The module or dll that caused the crash will provide us with a hint. Also, if you uninstall the AICarriers2 package, will the crashes stop?Best regards,Jim

Sorry for not being clear enough. That´s my fault.I did not mean that FSX (the program) is crashing, but the plane :-)Just when I reach the end of the carrier and could be able to fly FSX tells my that my "Plane" crashed  :(

I'd disable crashes, FSX is way too sensitive about registering crashes. It's also good to disable because if you fly online in formation or on vatsim close to another plane it will reload your sim and register as a crash
