Hi ThereIt's been a while since I changed my SO to windows 7 I didn't get a black screen crash which happens when approaching a destination scenery. I have also encountered this problem (sudden black screen at or near an airport). I have a much different system: Windows Xp and a Nvidia GTX280 GPU. As John pointed out, it turned out to be ai aircraft related. In my case the problem happened when coming into visual range of the old project ai Dh8 models where I had used 32 bit textures I had painted. I converted those to DXT3 and the problem ceased. Apparently the old model, graphics settings and texture format just couldn't get along.I hope this helps a little towards sorting out your problem.Regards,Mel
