Quick Answer: Geforce 4 MX

Featured Replies

I have an older system I got from a friend. I've been using it to run a 15in lcd vga monitor at 1024x768.The PC has a old geforce 4 mx 440 pci card. I'd like to upgrade the monitor to a 1600x900 res LCD monitor @ 60Hz, or maybe 1920x1080. Do you think the GF 4 would drive this monitor at a high resolution? It's mainly for pdf charts and skyvector.com

On my old rig I've got a Geforce4 MX4000 AGP which is totally useless for even watching videos..however it's hooked up to a 1920x1080 resolution monitor and it performs without problems...just don't expect to be able to play games or view videos at that res. :)Rob

Yeah I ended up getting a 20in Dell. Connected via VGA. Apparently the video card is actually onboard... I thought it was a physical card. I do get a bit of wavy lines on the monitor at max resolution but not really noticeable. I presume it's due to the "Crappiness" of the onboard video lol
