Graphics Glitch in FSX

Featured Replies

Evening all,Due to recent holidays and ongoing kitchen renovations I've not flown a proper flight in FSX for around a month now. As I had some spare time on my hands this evening, I decided to take a very short flight from Manchester to Edinburgh, mainly to reacquaint myself with the FMC.All was going well, I was held at 5000ft in the SID out of Manchester so decided to nip downstairs and make a drink for the wife and I; no, she wasn't my co-pilot lolI came back to find the graphics had gone slightly crazy, with the virtual cockpit going transparent in places, as you can see from the screenshots. All the external views were fine, as was the 2D cockpit. It was just the virtual cockpit and alternate views of it that were like this. As the 2D panels were fine, I continued my flight and landed at Edinburgh without a hitch. I know it's a long shot but does anyone have any ideas as to why this might've occured? I'm open to any comments on this as it's new to me. I've not messed around with my FSX set up recently nor have I touched my hardware. Thanks in advance.Adam.

Look at this thread....http://forum.avsim.net/topic/280688-graphics-corruption-in-fsx-update-possible-solution-found/click on the first link in the initial thread..you don't have to read the whole thread ;-)in short:add in your [GRAPHICS] section in the FSX.cfg the entryHIGHMEMFIX=1100% succes rate as I know... at least for me...

Many thanks, Guenter! I'll make the necessary changes to my fsx.cfg file.I've read most of these tweak threads before but I just didn't think my problem was down to them. I've messed around with my fsx file quite a few times, resorted back to old ones, re-edited etc and I guess along the way, that tweak has been removed.Adam
