August 18, 201015 yr Ok, when i am on FS2004 and when i am at CYYZ and i was taxiing or landing and taxiing or while i am at CYYZ, then what happened is my Video Card stopped working and it recovered, but it still stops working again while I'm at CYYZ. But it does not do that to me at any other airports. My FS2004 version is 9.1And my video card is a ATI 2040XT HDI do not have anything downloaded or add-on secnerys in my FS2004.I did a reinstall of Fs2004Tried a add-on secenery but still does that problemAlso i took the aircraft up in the air and circling around CYYZ and it's not affecting me. But on ground, my video card dies every 2 to 3 mins. and recovers it. Weird Any solutions for this?
August 18, 201015 yr Might be worth checking for driver updates for your graphics card. If you've recently installed a new driver, try reverting back to the previous one.
August 18, 201015 yr Author Hey, When i install Windows 7 long time ago and i had no problems when i am flying to CYYZ. The video card was fineBut it just suddenly banged in here casuing problems. and been trying different video drivers. I been at it for a Week and been hecking it out.I been reinstalling it and everything tried a add on secnery and same problems.I really need to get this fixed so i fly for a Virtual Airlines out of CYYZ.Anything else?
August 18, 201015 yr I'm really not sure now..The odd thing is I can't find any trace of your exact video card anywhere. Can you confirm whether it is a laptop or desktop PC and whether or not it is onboard the motherboard?
August 18, 201015 yr Author DAL, here it isDoh! Sorry, gave you worng one, lolMine is desktopHere it isATI Radeon HD 2600 XTMy OS.Windows 7 HomeHope this helps. Thanks for helping me out there today. I'm really hoping i can get it fixed.
August 18, 201015 yr Hello, Also i took the aircraft up in the air and circling around CYYZ and it's not affecting me. But on ground, my video card dies every 2 to 3 mins. and recovers it. Weird What you mean by "my video card dies" ?Your description is strange for say the least :)When a video card dies .. she burn over (GPU or other parts) and will no work more :)Do you mean you have the game stopping and a return to desktop ?Do you have a error message?BTW .. if the game work great in other places than the aera with problem .. you can already discard a driver problem...Your driver is certainly not the cause of the trouble AFAIK.Regards.Gus.
August 18, 201015 yr Author I mean that when i am at CYYZ and my screen freezes up and blinks to black and it comes back and i got the error message. "ATI Radeon Family stopped working and has recovered" but the game is still there.
August 18, 201015 yr On WIN7-64 with nVidia GTX285 1GB I get this same event sometimes if I use the hat switch to look out the side window during flight. When I was running WIN XP-32 it would always cause a complete freeze of FS9. At least now it recovers.I can't see any common geographic factors in where and when this happens -- it's not limited to a specific area of the world. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say it's probably related to weather/clouds complexity because I have settings and tweaks for this set very high.I've just learned to live with it.- Jev McKee - Jev McKee, AVSIM member since 2006. August 18, 201015 yr Author I got it fixed. I over clocked my Video Drivers and it worked. It's good now.
