Can't decrease throttle on descent!

Featured Replies

Did my first in RC flight in a long while and mostly went ok until I started the descent. I de-activate the 'auto-throttle' but the thrust would not decrease. #1 engine did but the other 3 stayed at full tilt. Put my throttle all the way to zero and it was unphased. I had to use max flaps and gear down to slow her down and even on the ground the thrust would not decrease but stayed where it was during cruise flight. Had to shut them down to stop the plane. Never ran into this before. I didn't think RC was connected to the thrust aspect of the flight. Any ideas?

I'm going to assume you are not controlling the aircraft engines with the keyboard but have a throttle control of some kind, either a joystick wheel or separate unit. Only in a paid registration of FSUIPC can you map separate engines to separate throttle controls or with with software that comes with the throttle. If you are using keyboard controls then you may be experiencing key conflicts with RC. I don't recall how in FS you use the keyboard for throttle especially the combo for one engine. In regard to your PUSHBACK conflict and this maybe you should remap RC menu keys to ctrl-number or cntrl-letter combos which are not used elsewhere.

I got my throttle issue fixed. I'm still working on the Pushback re-configuration. Thanks for your help
