September 2, 201015 yr Anyone using a Thermalright Silver Arrow dual tower CPU cooler??? I was planning to get a VenomousX single tower + 2X Akasa 120mm Viper fans, which ends up costing more than a Silver Arrow which comes with 2X 140mm fans. My RAM also has heat sinks and it appears that the Silver Arrow is likely to be a tight fit. I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. September 2, 201015 yr I don't really know about the Thermalright Silver Arrow, but I also have dominators and you can remove their heat sinks and still use them safely. I had to with my NH-D14
September 7, 201015 yr I installed the Silver Arrow on my new build, i7 980X on a R3E MB with Mushkin Redline ram with the Frostbyte heatsinks.http://www.mushkin.com/Memory/Redline/998691.aspxAny ram with taller heatsinks will not fit under the SA.I have not put a clock on it, but so far my temps are 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the stock Intel HSF when running OCCT.
