September 4, 201015 yr I just purchased the Saitek Pro yoke & Throttle system. When I boot the computer it works ok. I start FS2004, start flying and about 15 seconds later both the yoke and throttle stop working. The power lights and clock are still on. Anyone have any ideas or have had this same problem and were able to fix this?I've tried the system on a friends computer and it works perfect. I don't have any idea what to do to fix this. Please help. Thanks,Gerry
September 4, 201015 yr Disable any Saitek software and drivers. Just let Windows recognize hardware. Disable controllers in FSX and set up controllers through FSUIPC. And make sure there's no power management setting shutting down your USB port. "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"

September 6, 201015 yr Author I followed what you suggested without success. I know it's not the Saitek yoke, it works on another machine. Before i disabled the Saitek driver and when I first booted up the computer, then going to the game controller, it works perfect. The same holds true for both FS2004 and FSX. It only stops working when FS launches. Is it possible that something in Windows XP is corrupted? Thanks,Gerry
September 7, 201015 yr Author I uninstalled everything on my system. Ran disk cleanup and defraged. Reinstlled Saitek driver, software and the yoke & throttle. Reinstalled FS2004 and now the yoke and throttle are working. There was something effecting Saitek. Not sure what it was but were happy now. Thanks for your help,Gerry
