Hi, I ahve been wrestling with a fresh win 7 install and fresh FSX install. its still not right, but one thing I am having issues with is the java plug in ( needed to run AI carriers) I have java 6 update 20 currently, but it keeps crashing, so am wondering if there is a specifice version that is needed and if so , can someone post a direct link? I cant find find anything other than what I have on their site....Cheers,Mark

Hi Jim, thx, that was where I got to, and found only the latest, version 6, which I installed. I wondered if somehow the latest version was disagreeing with FSX and an earlier version would maybe be better. Which I could not see on their site. maybe I am barking up the wrong tree though...Cheers,Mark

I had no reason to doubt the newest java 6.21 update so I did and I am still able to create carriers on demand with it just like 6.20 before.Mark, Sorry to hear that the problems continue; hope you get it resolved soon.... I'm waiting on you.Loyd

Hey loyd, skype is on. I just uninstalled the java I had installed, then downloaded the jre-6u21 windows -x64.exe file from their site. I installed it, all was good. I just started FSX, I get a message pop up saying java is not installed, do you want to download it? I think, what the hell, press yes and it takes me here: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie-64bit.jsp?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80When i try and download the file, turns out it is exactly the same one that I downloaded AND installed earlier - so why am i getting a message saying its not installed? I am so irritated with this stuff, I have had 2 weeks of aggro re installing windows and my programs, everywhere I turn I have issues...Cheers, Mark
