September 8, 201015 yr Is there a good reference someone can point me to regarding the operation of vehicles (I guess fuel trucks mainly) at airports? I'm making vehicle paths and understand that they need to be connected to aircraft parking paths if they are to service an aircraft. Question is do I have to always use vehicle pathways? In areas where I would not like a surface to be drawn, for example, can I use apron pathways to finish the connection to the vehicle parking path? I've never used a fuel truck in the sim so not familiar with how they work but don't want to be ignorant of other simmers when designing my scenery and I want to make sure I implement their use properly. September 8, 201015 yr I guess you can use any path - I just noticed that I used apron paths to connect the vehicle parking to a vehicle path and that seems to work.If you don't want the path to display, try setting the width to 0 meters.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
September 8, 201015 yr Author Hmmm... good to know. If you don't want the path to display, try setting the width to 0 meters. No, I still want the edge lines, just not the surface Drew Sikora Staff Blog Founder/Designer, MSE Airports
September 8, 201015 yr I still want the edge lines, just not the surfaceIf you set the surface of the vehicle path to the same material as the apron on which it is placed, it doesn't matter. ADE also lists "unknown" as a material, and I don't know what results from this selection. If you use apron paths instead of vehicle paths, keep in mind that AI aircraft may use the path in addition to vehicles. Art
