I have just completed my first one and just need to write up some notes and also get permission from JD to distribute it before uploading it to AVSIM etc. to make it available to all.If you search for Radar Contact on AVSIM you will find some add-ons already there.By the way, NORWEGIAN is the call sign for the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Norwegian Air Shuttle's call sign is NOR SHUTTLE.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
July 27, 2025Jul 27 Moderator @John Hinson, I've probably broken the record for posting on such an old topic. I decided to fly a Norwegian B737-800 today but to my surprise RC4 has no Norwegian callsigns. Did you ever upload your calsigns to AvSim Library? It seems crazy we never included them in the original capture. Ray (Cheshire, England). Gosh, Ray, never mind breaking that record, that goes back further than my ageing memory does and I am really having to scratch my head over this. It feels an eternity since I used Radar Contact - as it didn't suit my regression to the 1960s era of simulation with slow-descending aircraft I went elsewhere. Although you could read it that way, my post doesn't specifically refer to my creating the NORWEGIAN or NOR SHUTTLE call signs and I think its likely other airlines had greater priority for me at the time. I am afraid the answer is that I am pretty sure I didn't upload it and any work I did on Radar Contact is long gone to the great recycling plant in the sky. July 28, 2025Jul 28 Moderator @John Hinson, no worries and thanks for replying. It’s hard to believe I’ve been using RC4 for 20 years but when something just works as intended I see no reason to change. Ray (Cheshire, England).
