September 11, 201015 yr Yes it works perfectly ok in windows 7.All thow I did nto actualy install FU3 in the normal way,I copyed and pasted an allredy installed vershion of FU3 from a diferant PC.But I see no reasan why it shoudant install in the normall way, It sertanly runs properly wunts installed.Windows 7 has a grat game of chess on it I like, and a clok gaget I like, but most every thing els on 7 I carnt get on with.Windows 7 seemed allways trying to antisipat what I wanted, insted of just doing wat I asked, It was a pain. The final disishion to go bak to XP was that meny of my small programs and tools that I use to develop FU3 dont work on windows 7.But thats just my opinion, we all hav diferant reouiermants of an operating sistem.glidernut

I agree that 7 is a bit of a pain after using xp for so long. I managed to install FU3 with all of chris and johns scenery for SF and Seattle. Have just one problem. During landing on touch down the screen freezes but the sound continues to roll. Any ideas how to rectify this problem.
October 7, 201015 yr Has anyone been successful in downloading and running FU3 ?Oh!Downloading? Is there an electronic copy available somewhere now?Cheers,D
October 7, 201015 yr Hi, boksburg,I hav 2 ideas as th what might be the broblem.1, using the force FEEDBACK controls with a force feed back joystick. We did hav 1 man on the forams meny yers ago that sed he had no problems runig FU3 with a force feed back joystick. But every time I tryed it, it giv me the exact same problem you are discribing. This was never solved, and only wentaway we I got a diferant joystick that had no force feed back kapabilaty.2, a duff package. Bilow the dotid line is a conversation I had with Jon Point meny meny yers ago.It just might be the saim problam you are having...............................................................................To Jon Point,I no longer hav the "crash after landing bug".It was what Cristian and you sed. The "crash after landing bug" was corsed by a 'rogue' or corupt pacgage.I may hav been at ladd when the "crash after landing bug" started but the corupt package in my case was not ladd or an airport, it was just a rubishy little package I created a long time ago to test out new models and things. After remooving the corupt package to the desk-top the "crash after landing bug"disapered compleetly. Now this is the interesting bit.Takeing a closer look at the corupt package on my desk-top to see if I couldspot what was rong with it, I notest that its airport folder had 2 identcalynamed folders in it ?!?!Im torking about the 3 leter folder in the airport folder. There should only be one three letter folder in the airport folder not 2.Nouw I know what your thinking, your thinking you carnt hav 2 folders named the same!?!?But you can if one is inside the other, as with this so caled corupt package.By remooving one of thees 3 letter named folders, the package bicums UNcoruptedand can be put back in the game withoue corsing the "crash after landing bug".Since then I hav diliberatly corupted several packages by puting the 3 letterfober into an identicaly named folder and created the"crash after landing bug" and then UNcorupted them by remooving the extra folderto suksesfuly get rid of the "crash after landing bug".I did this just to proov to myself that this is the cors of the "crash after landing bug".Jon,inspect your 'rogue' package for the abuv.I didant menshion it in the other thred but I too in sorting this out expereancedthe "REMOVE IT, FLED and FU3 both crash" problem. But now this problem has disapered too.glidernut.:-wave.................................................................................I hope the abuv thred solvs your broblem.glidernut,John Lewis.
October 8, 201015 yr Following on from Glidernut's experiences,I too had a problem with the sim crashing after landing. I deleted a particular add-on scenery package and this fixed the problem.Unfortunately,I can't remember which package - although I can say it was neither of Chris Low's Seattle / California packs.Could be a process of elimination.regards...........Stuart
