September 12, 201015 yr Recently purchased RC. Love the product. I run on vista and I run as administrator and have done a couple flight so far without any problems. Tonight I was set up to do a longer flight, Milwaukee, WI to Philadelphia in a Twin-prop, 4 hours. First few parts of the flight went perfect. But as I was passing Cleveland I got handed off to another frequency with CLE Center and then got a CTD. From other forums one guy told me he's had some problems with CTD or freezing with RC. I tried to search the forums, is this common, just a hit or miss type deal?
September 12, 201015 yr Moderator You don't say what version of FS but I'm guessing it's FS2004.If the CTD occured exactly when the frequency changed then it's the ATC.DLL problem. Search this forum for suggested fixes but bear in mind this is a bug in FS2004, not RC. Ray (Cheshire, England). September 12, 201015 yr If it is FS9 backup FSUIPC.ini and then using Notepad in the General section add:RemoveATC=yesThis does not affect AI behavior. If you need to restore FS9 ATC communications then remove that statement. This error happens when other ATC applications are used and no communication via FS9 ATC occurs (in most cases).
