I have some payware Scenery from BluePrint (CYYZ). The scenery includes a Ground bgl around the airport. This bgl doesn't look very good and so I removed it from the FSX. When I did that it caused autogen to be places right up to the runway, which isn't good either. I download this freeware file to clear the autogen near the runways but I guess it doesnt work for payware airport scenery. What I want to do is "edit" the CYYZ.bgl file so that I only see the near parameter of the airport, right now its a huge square that look bad and doesnt blend well with GEX and UTX. My question is what software do I require to edit this bgl? Do I need persmission do do this from the dev's? I could probably send the bgl to someone if they have a second or too to edit this. I think its just a matter of cutting around the runways and making it look better, esentilally I'd like to get ride of the "city" party (road etc) so that it clears autogen from the runway and also look decent. 1. "Sending the file to some one" isn't kosher. Things like copyright violation, etc get in the way.2. Even if you could send it to some one or wanted to do it yourself, photo based scenery is not editable.You can make a new photo based area using SBuilderX or you can use it to remove the offending autogen around the airport. Then, since you made the files and hold the copyrights to them, you can send them to whomever you want.Tutorials for learning to use SBuilderX are in the Avsim file library.

It may be easier for what you want to do to use ADE (get it here). I think an exclude polygon will do what you want.

Nothing really to add here, but somebody named "Meshman" probably knows about subjects pertaining to scenery/mesh/etc... :(
