September 20, 201015 yr Hi all just got fsp and was wondering if some one could point in the right direction here1 Beacon lights are turned on when u start the engines2 nav lights are on at all times3 strobe lights and landing lights are turned on when entering rwy and turned off when exiting rwy to taxi way4 landing lights off above 10000 and on below5 Beacon off after shutdown question is is there a strobe light for the md-11 if is where is the switch for it since i found the beacon and nav switches I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
September 20, 201015 yr They are called High Intensity Lights and the label above the switch is labeled HI-INT.Your list is correct, although SOPs regarding the Landing Lights differ from operator to operator.Personally I switch on the beacon before pushback. Turning it on while the engine is running up is a bit too late for my taste. "A life is like a garden. September 20, 201015 yr Hello Peter,The strobe light is also in the overhead and its marked as "Hi Int", as soon as you press it your strobes will flash.Best regards,Mick.

October 3, 201015 yr The beacon goes on when the Captain gets the ok from the tower and the push back to start the push. The beacon is also on when the A/C is being towed from the gate to the hanger etc.
