PA34 200T Seneca II FS2004

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!I'm new here and I'm looking for some help with Carenado's PA34 200T Seneca II FS2004. I have contacted Carenado directly, but I received a reply saying that I should ask a forum. Basically, I have bought Carendo's "PA34 200T Seneca II FS2004" here in the UK. I have installed it and it is working fine. However I would like to know whether it is possible to replace the ADF gauge in the cocpit to an RMI gauge. Is this possible and how can it be done? Can I add in the RMI gauge of another aircraft? Whilst I'm not new to Flight Sim, I'm new to modifying, so if someone can help, baby steps please! Many thanks for the help, much apprciated! I look forward to any replies. Alicia.

Hi and welcome to the forum! While I do not have the Seneca for FS9, I do have the Seneca for FSX and hope they are similar.First of all, yes you can use a gauge from another airplane (unless the author of the other airplane has protectedtheir gauge in some way, which is uncommon).Using my FSX Seneca as an example, if you open up the panel.cfg file (in the panel folder) with Notepad, you will find under Vcockpit02:gauge16=PA34S2!Adf, 102,112,102,102This is the ADF gauge in the virtual cockpit.Try replacing it withgauge16=Beech_Baron!RMI, 102,112,102,102and see how it looks. You may have to adjust the size / or location a bit for best fit.The coordinates are: X position, Y position, Width, Height

I just tried my own advice and although it works, you may want to look for a round RMI gaugein your hangar.. for a better fit. Here an example with a RealityXP FLN RMI (payware)

Thanks for the advice Bert! Took a bit of tweaking, but got it working how I wanted it. Thanks again.Alicia.
