This is weird.Start up flight in cockpit, and first activation of ATC controller yields a normal sounding voice pitch.Cycle to a new view, and the voices, pilot & ATC, change to a higher pitch. It sounds like they were on helium. Obviously, some variable is causing this, but I can't figure out what it is.I have reduced sound acceleration to BASIC in DXDIAG and re-installed the drivers for the onboard AC97 set up. Still does it.Thoughts anyone?

yes it happened to me as wellthe solution is quite simple actually,just get your original AC97 driver CD out, and resintall it over the current version and bingo,worked for me,hope it helps.

I had sound problems, whenever I clicked on Sound in settings I got an instant crash to desktop.What I did is go into fs9.cfg and change [sOUND] to:{SOUND.Device.CREATIVE.Audigy2}Made sense to me it should have a device like the video card does. I doubt seriously this made the game start using my Audigy2 so to speak, but it did force the game to reset all devices and look them all up again as all my settings went back to default. Now the button works.
