I installed a bunch of flight plans today and when i start up at Miami there is only 1 American Airlines plane I have the Air Traffic bar at 100%

You might provide a little more information on how you added the AI flight plan. If you install a FS9 flight plan into FSX, the FSX flight plans will no longer work.

I compiled the flight plans with Ttools but the problem is it says Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working. and I installed them here C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator X/Simobjects/Airplanes.

The traffic bgls (each with a unique name) do not go there - they go into your Scenery/World/scenery subfolder.This was explained in the Tutorial I recommended - even though it was written for FS2004, the same concepts apply to FSX.You Will need to study such references and learn how to work with Traffic files.
