September 10, 200322 yr I am sharing some scenery files from FS2K2 into FS2K4. I believe that is the cause of the opening message in FS2K2 which says "Completing setup, generating new scenery file indices..." and the FS2K4 message, "Building database for new scenery files..." Is there a workaround for this annoying problem? I don't want to waste hard drive space by replicating scenery directories in both simulators.Any help/suggestions appreciated.Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
September 10, 200322 yr Author No really sure what you mean, when you add or make any change to a scenery file, you will get that message, afterwards, it should not do that. As a scenery designer, I have one folder outside of FS and I use it for both sims, works fine for me.Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
